Who works with a coach?
Anyone wanting to get more out of life finds enormous benefits from working with a coach. Life Coaching is for people of all ages and from all walks of life, regardless of profession or circumstances. Coaching helps bring balance, fulfillment and happiness to professional and private lives.
Why does coaching work?
Coach and client form a working alliance. Having this one-on-one partnership ensures that goals are not only set, but achieving them is quicker and easier. Together as a team, within the coaching process we question, listen, explore and discover ~ we find answers to bring out the best in you. This way YOU set the goals, work out plans, get into action and you are made accountable with the powerful support of a coaching partnership.
How long must I commit to when I start working with a coach?
Most coaching sessions last between 30 to 60 minutes per week or per fortnight, over a 9 to 12 week period. This gives the coach and the client the time needed to work together on achieving set tasks. Some clients feel that they want to extend the 12 weeks and that is discussed as the need arises.
What if I decide not to finish a coaching term?
If the client or coach feels that coaching is not working for what ever reason, after a reasonable number of sessions, the coaching partnership can be terminated. Sometimes the timing can be just not right!
Can I hire a coach for a short-term goal?
Yes, you can hire a coach for a short term goal. The coaching process can be accelerated and the coaching sessions become more intense and longer if required.
How does coaching work?
The client meets with the coach either weekly or fortnightly for the agreed number of coaching sessions. This can be done through personal consultation, skype or via phone, depending on location, time availability and preferences. The session will take between 30 to 60 minutes and the client decides what the focus will be. Often the client will be given some form of “homework” or task to work on between sessions. This will fast track them to the desired outcome. For a free, no obligation 30 minute Life Coaching Discovery Session, email me at info@lifefocusplus.com
How much?
The Coaching is charged on a per-session basis. Life Focus Plus offers “pay-in-advance” packages that are more economical. These can be discussed at time of the introductory session and details are found in the Policies and Procedures document obtainable upon request. Clients are also offered unlimited email access between sessions as required.
How do I know if coaching will suit me?
If you feel that you have been looking for more in your life and not been able to make it happen, coaching is a great place to start. Is something missing in your life, or if you are longing for a non-judgmental sounding board, life coaching is the answer.
Can I try it out first?
Try before you buy is a great idea? Contact info@lifefocusplus.com and ask for a free introductory Life Coaching Discovery Session which takes 30 minutes. This way you can get a feel about the coach and what coaching is all about.
Why should I hire a coach?
A Life Coach is your partner supporting you 100% towards your successful outcomes. This support is more powerful than “going it alone”. When you share your dreams and goals with a Life Coach where plans are activated for you to achieve them, you have someone who believes in you, supports you and listens to you. A Life Coach will help you stay on track and keep you focused on the end result. Doing all this and having fun on your journey is a powerful tool. When compared with expensive and time-costly seminars and consultants, Life Coaching is more economical, more time flexible, easier and more effective.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No not all, therapy tends to focus on feelings and experiences related to past events, whereas coaching is oriented toward goal setting and encourages you to move forward, to plan now for the future.
Do you follow a code of ethics?
Yes, I follow the International Association of Coaches (IAC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF) codes of ethics. Please refer to their Web sites for further details or contact me for a hard copy.

The only thing that will change your life is action. If you do nothing about your situation right now, you will still be dealing with the same issues and problems months from now.
